Welcome to your class blog! I hope you are excited to learn about blogs and start to use them. For your first post I want you to think about Writing Workshop. We have been talking a lot this week about what it means to have a Writer's Notebook and the importance of writing. Many of you expressed your hatred of writing prompts, and how you wish you could just write about whatever you wanted to. Well, here is your opportunity. What are your feelings about Writing Workshop? Are you excited? Indifferent? Not interested? Curious? Tell us how you feel and why are you having those feelings. Then tell us something you would like to be given the time to write about.

Welcome to our 6th grade class blog. We are in Miss Terrone's Language Art's Class. On this blog we will be sharing our own writing and helping our classmates strengthen their writing skills. We will also have discussions about what next year will bring when we enter the Middle School!

The new writers workshop is awesome! I love it and i'm so excited!! My preception of the workshop is my opinion....not anyone else's. I personally think writing is a gift. A gift god gives you. Everyone has a gift that they are good at. Mine is writing, writing is my passion,my future. I love hearing what other students have to say about my writing. It's amazing to be able to write. Writer's workshop is helping people figure out their gift. So people can find what their good at. Ms. Terrone is a very good teacher for bringing this to our attention. The sixth grade class (or atleast myself) is proud to have writing workshop in our lives. Also this blogging....it will have a major impact on students lives. A very good impact that they will be thankful for. Hopefully, this helps give you my bias preception on writers workshop.....See ya soon!!!

I think this new workshop is not the best. Other studets may think its a great thing to ever happen to them. Nevertheless writers workshop is a create way for students to relax. They can write about whats on there mind. Another thing is, this writting time is for kids to express there feelings. from #2
ReplyDeleteWriting is a great way for people to express themselves. I'm glad Writer's Workshop is providing you with that opportunity. Writing is something that is unique. It means something different for each person. Some write because it is relaxing, others because they like to share stories. Whatever the reason - it is something everyone should take part in!

Some people dont think writing workshop is so good......why???? Im sincerely SHOCKED and utterly disappointed with some ungrateful sixth graders!!!!!! Some schools dont think writing is important...thank God we have it!!!! if you agree or disagree please blog back.....

My feels about a writing workshop are that they are good.They help you understand writing and how to write.I like doing workshops they're fun and helpful.I feel this way because Mrs.Terrone helps me. She will never give up on me or anybody.yes i am excited to write.Know I like writing before i didn't like writing.Mrs.Terrone inspired me to do my best in everything.from#21
ReplyDeleteThe things that I like about Writer's Workshop is that it is a time that you have to share your writing.Also,there are a few things that students learn from their writing.They can learn many different words that they never heard of before.Plus,get a little more meanings of the words that they learned.So my teacher came up with this good idea of Writer's Workshop.I would like to say thank you to my teacher for giving us this experience to write and also learn to blog.

I think that our writing workshop period is going to be very exciting, but I am having touble relating to the writing promts that you are giving us. When you said we could do free writing I was very excited because I knew I would be able to refer to something that I would think about or something that already happened to me. In writer's workshop,I like to express the way I feel about the promts you give us,but I don't know the correct way to respond to most of them.I was hoping that this period of the day would be a big help for me because writing is the subject that I dislike the most. I hope the next time we have this period,it is a promt that I will enjoy and be able to understand.

ReplyDeleteWriter's Workshop is a great way to express your feelings.I am very excited that my amazing teacher,Ms.Terrone,decided to give us time to write.After a long day at school what better way to relax our minds than a little bit of fun writing.The prompts you give us are interesting and although some children may not like them I do!In my opinion Writer's Workshop is a brilliant idea.I'm also interested in learning about blogs,this is a great skill and I'm thankful Ms.Terrone took the time to teach it to us.As for the prompts,they're amazing and I really know how to respond to them.

It helps students express their feelings or their imagination in a story.Having a writing workshop will not only show a student's creativity,it improves their writhing skills.I'm glad my awesome teacher,Ms.Terrone,decided to take the free time and write any story we want.

I love writers workshop it is the best part of the day. Writers workshop may not be my favorite subject, but I am gratful for our teacher's effort to try to help us appreciate writing alot more. My favorite part of writers workshop is writing I can write anything like songs, poems, and stories. My previous story is about a daughter of a high society person goes misind and I have to write about the process of finding her. Next I want to make a song. WOW! I never knew blogs were so cool. Thanks Ms. Terrone for be a cool teacher. YOU ROCK!

The new story we had to write about is awesome!!(The high ranking goverment offical whos daughter is abducted, for those who dont know.) I loved writing every single word of it and hope you give us another prompt like that! Im always open to help other students if they need it in writing! So dont be afraid to askk!!!! I actually wrote the alturnate ending like YOU suggested and it turned out amazing!! Hope you ask ANOTHER question, im tired of this one!!!!! Sincerly, #5 or lexii ;]
ReplyDeleteWriters workshop is a brilliant idea.This lets us express the way we feel in writing.Writers workshop will make an impact in our writing and spelling skills.I would like to learn more about blogs.Ms.Terrone,your prompts are so amazing.When I work on one of them I get all excited.Writers workshop is great for 6th graders.Not everyone may like writing but I do.All this is so intresting and fun.Sadly not everyone in other schools are having this program.Maybe,we can let everyone learn about true blogs and the importance in writing.

I love writers workshop! Its a great way for us to express ourselves. My favorite part of it is when we get to free write. You can write about whatever you want. Now we are learning how to blog. I never kne how much fun this is. ITS AWSOME! Thank you MS.Terrone, YOU ROCK!
